Religions coexisting with one another: Is it truth or fallacy?

Moments ago, I answered on someone's blog thinking about how multiple religions can co-exist within every individual. That calls for being true to oneself, forming no opinions or prejudices against texts until one seeks the ultimate truth, or whatever we call as being close to achieving truth. Being true to subjects, creatures and other things we feel strongly for and this intellectual honesty is somehow going to fetch one the pleasure of attaining multiple religions since he would believe more in attaining perfection and seeking truth; within his own self, through his own work and spreading positive energy among his fellow creatures. That truth, people follow as religion.
