Indifferent and insensible to become we've grown,
The world in a tizzy with each to their own,
In agony and ecstasy - bipolar feelings sown,
With one another into this journey we're thrown.
Patience as a virtue most uncommon,
Yet expectation instinctive and solemn,
With impulse in our DNA, survival be watchword,
Gratifying ourselves, living by the blade of a sword.
Our eyes home entirely to us,
Uprooting happiness borne by whom,
Is the wisdom to discern,
That sets apart a cloth from its loom.
My cloth comes from its make,
That is just another rich man's take,
If a poorer would have to pay,
It'd no longer remain styling my way.
So we live for one another,
Yet we're a big mess,
'Cause the wisdom to discern,
Is just a total haze.
