I have never been a believer. Even if I have been, unknowingly, I have never expressed in any form, my thankfulness to God. But, this post is going to be vernacular and I cannot help but let it be. I travel quite a distance to work daily, and on my way - I see all kinds of people! I see small kids waiting to detonate, old men enduring the movement of masses - experiencing steadfast necessity to hang in there. Just hang in there, mind you! I see young men like me- travel to work. I see them go places, to study in colleges, schools and other organizations. And, I see mediocrity.
So, why am I thankful? I am thankful to you, for two reasons. One, I see a lot of poverty around me. And, I see people succumbing to poverty - both ways - some starve and others, savour the lack of poverty and bask in the generous exhibition of wealth. The former in deprivation and the latter, in avoidance of lack and as a result - glorification and self-worth.
And, so, still - what am I thanking you for?
I thank you God, or whoever there is, 'cause you help me exist oblivious of everything there is around me, as a human body - just as are around me.
Thank you.

It's the pearls of wisdom I see,
On my passage to eternity, to thee,
And if I falter, show me more misery,
Lest I lean forward to embrace my treasury.
